SLS 1324 stipulates requirements for Organic Agriculture Production and Processing. The standard further prescribes requirements for production, wild harvest, post harvest handling, transportation, packaging , labeling and marketing of organic produce and products. Organic production is an overall system of farm management and food production that combines best environmental practices, the preservation of natural resources, and a production method in line with minimizing the use of external inputs and avoiding synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.
